Some new updates on the 135.4. Added some cheato and pods to the tank and a fish. Do you think the pods will eat marine snow by 2 little fishes? My first fish is a copper band butterfly. I asked to see if she would eat at the store. She ate really well so I took her home. She is adjusting pretty good. Exploring everything. she won’t eat the food I give her. The store owner told me to feed her mysis shrimp but she won’t touch it.. any recommendations?
Just give her a little bit more time to settle in, I had a CBB that ate in the store frozen food but he didn`t eat for me for over a week before he began to eat again. I suggest you try LRS Fish Frenzy and see what happens;)

Stable parameters.
Nitrate/phosphate undetectable. I’m sure there are some cuz there is a hint of color of each but not enough color to match the first color swatch on the ring.( Red Sea test kits). Cheato exploded in the two weeks I had it.

Added some critters.
1 large hermit.
3 cleaner shrimp
2 camel shrimp
1 emerald crab
1 fire shrimp
2 peppermint shrimp.(two different species)
1 tuxedo urchin.
They acclimated great. All the shrimp was hosting the hermit crab while they were in the bucket. Funny sight to see when they were all playing king of the hill ( hermit crab as the hill)

The copperband butterfly (“Chloe”) started eating. Brine shrimp worked! Thanks for the advice.

How do you have your refugium set up in the r/o reservoir? I'm looking to do something similar.

I incorporated some plumbing parts from BRS to make it happen. I T’d it off from the return line and put in a ball valve to control flow. All in 3/4 inch. I positioned a HOB overflow that dumps back into the return pump chamber.

Parts I used are from BRS

3/4" PIPE ADAPTER SPIGOT X BARB
3/4” CEPEX BALL VALVE
2x 3/4” SCHEDULE 80 90° ELBOW SLIP X SLIP

6x RATCHET CLAMP FOR 3/4” TUBING
2x 3/4" CLAMP FOR PVC PIPE
DELUXE CS50 WITH LID AND AQUA LIFTER
Black 3/4” PVC schedule 40
3/4 barbed “T” fitting

I used a tigger systems 10 gallon ato reservoir instead of water box’s. It fits really well in the cabinet.

Excellent idea. I was thinking of drilling a couple holes in the ATO reservoir portion, but the HOB overflow is a better idea.

For an ATO reservoir, I have a 25 gallon food grade Brute trash can that my RO/DI fills automatically with a float valve, and my RO/DI has auto shut-off. I have it set up in an unfinished room in my basement, right behind my tank. I'll use the Sentry ATO to pump from the Brute through the wall to the sump.

I have another Brute that I use to mix salt water in, and I have it plumbed to the RO/DI Brute. It's basically a manual water change station, just so I don't have to lug another bucket of water for water changes.

That’s cool the flying turkey. I like that you have an automatic top off for your fresh water reservoir. Let me know how it turned out.
