I have a dream tank, but this is just a tribute. My dream is an in wall 300-400g with an attached fish room. That's just going to continue to be a dream for now.

Due to some new floors in the house I had to relocate my Reefer 350 temporarily. Rather than just move it back, I figure I may as well stretch the tank a bit. I started out with plans of a custom 72x30x24, but custom tanks take forever. So here we are.

The hardware
Waterbox Crystal Peninsula 7226, 72x26x24
ATI Powermodule Hybrid WIFI 60" 4x75W LED, 8x80W T5
Lifereef Skimmer
Ecotech Vectra M1 return
Ecotech Vortech MP40 (3)
Maxspect Gyre XFF350
barebottom (ish). still gonna need a corner of sand for my wrasses. I love the wrasses.
AWC setup, DOS most likely (going this route is the only way I would do this big of a tank)

The Software
SPS, lots of SPS... I'll probably leave out all but a couple of the monti's
Current fish to move:
the wrasses - yellow, adorned, meleagris leopard, lubbocki, pintail
the rest - tomini tang, flameback angel, Banggai cardinalfish, clarkii
Future fish - another tang or 2, possibly a foxface, a large group of something (anthias, damsels, or chromis maybe), and MORE wrasses

still thinking about the layout, it will probably end up along the wall even though it's a peninsula, but I wanted options

What made you choose the Lifereef Skimmer I keep looking at this one for my 6026. Every time I mention this at the different LFS they say I'll regret it cause it's old school and it's a straight tube and not the hour glass and the Ventura will always clog up. Thanks

It's definitely old school. Everyone I see that has one though is extremely happy with it. The venturi isn't supposed to clog because it pulls air from the collection cup that's humid preventing salt build up.

Have perfect place for our it'll separate the livingroom and dinette area I think we will really enjoy being able to set at the table or the livingroom and watch the tank from several areas.

Tank and light are both being delivered on the same day, that's convenient.

Decided to go with with 55g trash cans for the mixing station. I was initially thinking 65gal rotomold tanks, but that route is considerably more expensive. A 55g can should be just about perfect for mixing bags of IO salt (~44g/bag).

So I hit a couple snags putting the stand together. First problem was damage to a couple panels. A box of parts was packed between them and rubbed the UV coating off. WB support is shipping out new panels that will be here this week.

The other issue, the bottom panel was missing two holes to connect a panel. Unfortunately they were very reluctant to ship the panel because of it's size (6ft) which results in shipping damage. So their suggestion was to drill out the holes myself. I was reluctant at first, but it was a relatively simple fix. Measure twice, drill once,

In the meantime, I setup a 20G long for a QT tank, since that's cycling anyway I added some siporax 25mm that will go in the sump of the DT.

Hopefully I can get the stand finished and tank in place this weekend. Then I just need to tackle the aquascape...

Finally some progress. Got the light hung using a 3/4" aluminum square tube anchored to 4 joists. I just couldn't trust hanging it from sheetrock uing toggle bolts.

And finally tonight got some friends to help move the tank into place. 5 guys and I wish it had been 6.

Pretty happy with the cheap Amazon lifting handles, should have gotten another pair though just to make it easier. They didn't have a problem with the weight.
