Setting up my first tank.... now the long wait for it to cycle..
I’m mainly wanting to keep some clowns and a cleaner shrimp to start off

have a 18w Nemolight on order
Dymax ph400 return pump
50w Heater

started cycle with seachem stability not sure whether I should add something else to get it going

Nice nano there. Throw a tiny bit of food in there everyday to give the tank something to break down.

Does it matter what food I don’t have any food yet but can I use some leftover cichlid food I have?

I think that could be just fine! The old school way was to go to the grocery store and just buy one jumbo raw shrimp and throw it in there for a few days to let it create ammonia.

I’m really new to all this but maybe some zoas and torch... any suggestions for colourful beginner corals

i feel like acans are pretty easy and not super demanding. you can def get some bright colors with zoas if you're willing to pay for them. maybe some chalices once the tank matures a little. i've had a lot of luck with hammers and torches in my tanks too. another way to get color is in some inverts. fan worms can be fun as well as some colorful anemones like rock flower nems.

Added a coral banded shrimp, trochus snd nasssirus snail and a hammer coral last week
