Waterbox Cube 20 Build Thread - Wise Edition

So far, I like it a lot. It definitely delivers a lot of random flow. I can see polyps of sps frags swaying and then get a large ripple at the surface. It took a bit of adjusting for me to find a good mix that allowed good surface agitation and keep a majority of the flow directed towards the corals. Once I found that spot though, I’ve been very happy it.
Nice! It's always a delicate balance

ATI ICP-OES kit arrived today. Collected samples in each vial and will mail them off tomorrow.

ATI Test Results (low iodine, manganese and zinc; elevated aluminum and antimony)[possible aluminum leeching from MarinePure gems and possible antimony leeching from GKM UV sterilizer pump impeller -- GKM was removed and biomedia will be gradually swapped]

Some sad reefing news to report. The helfrichi firefish disappeared Sunday afternoon and hasn't been seen since. I also found my pink streaked wrasse dead yesterday evening. He appeared to be healthy up to that point, and was always active and eating. One of the hi fin red banded shrimp gobies managed to get out of the tank even though it has a tight fitting lid. I suspect it got through the overflow and jumped out from the back of the tank that isn't covered. :(

A new Fluval Evo 13.5 arrived over the weekend. I'm going to set it up for my pistol shrimp, who has been a pain in the butt the past few weeks. I'm also going to relocate a few corals over to the Fluval once it's cycled and ready.

Our power has been out since about 5:00 PM EDT on Monday. Luckily, I have a generator to keep essentials running and everything looks good so far. If you are on the fence about getting a generator, I suggest getting one.
