Hi everyone, in the market for a wave maker for a 40 Gallon Breeder. I put a spare Maxspect 2k Gyre in it, but even on the lowest setting it tends to blast the fish too much. What has your experience been with them? What do you use? Pros? Cons? Not looking for a traditional powerhead, as I am not looking for a direct/concentrated stream. Really want to experience the back and forth sway and the mimic of the ocean movement. Thank you all in advance.

I have 2 gyres in my 40 breeder running at 40%, plus the return.

As crazy as it sounds, try adding another on the opposite side, with 2 you can program them to get that back and forth sway. You can't get the back and forth with only one source of flow. IMO, good luck

Just bought a Jebao SCP-70m gyre for my 40 cube and I love it. About to buy another. I'm sure they'd work great with the length of the 40 breeder.
