Right tool for the right job! :) It depends on the tank you are setting up; your scape and where you want the flow! :) It also depends on what kind of corals you would want to keep in the tank.

I'm using 2 nero 3 in my IM nuvo fusion 40. It is a mix reef. Both are running 60%.

Like Casper said, depends what you want to keep. But like kyan said, I’ve also got 2 Nero 3’s in my 40 breeder and love em. I have them much lower though because I have mostly euphyllia in there, but I’d say the Nero is absolutely capable of having anywhere from low flow to very high flow in that tank. Love the controllability of them as well.

But honestly your question is a lot like "what kind of car should I buy next?" There are dozens of choices from inexpensive to expensive from small to big to controllable or not controllable, etc......
