I have 2 Mantis Tourbon 100 for my 120 G Display Tank…. What should be the wave making modes that i will keep ??? And should i use both always or use simultaneously???

Flow is one if the hardest things for me to get correct and even harder to make recommendations on because there are so many variables, sand no sand, rock scape, type of coral to name a few. I just use trial and error. With two pumps I usually start with one in each end and go from there. I'll watch coral movement and also how food gets blown around the tank.
I'm not familiar with the pumps you have and the modes available but typically random alternating flow seems to be best.

PS I also like to add some diy coral snow to how its blown around in the water.

Good subject. I went against convention wisdom on my current tank in that I'm using my return pump for significant flow. My goal was to minimize visable in-tank equipment. It's being distributed by three Locline nozzles, two with the Locline ball valves so I can control the flow from each one. On top of that I use an oversized DC return pump.

I have only one MP10 in a 50 gallon 30" mixed reef tank, including SPS. The MP 10 on Reef Crest mode creates plenty of turbulance as it collides with the constant flow from the return pump.

Hi Could you please let me know how the wave makers are holding ? I am considering to get them for my 100 gallon tank.
