Hello, I am setting up a saltwater aquarium. I am having difficulty choosing the wave motor capacity. I have a 70x50x45cm European dimension aquarium. Due to my location, I can only choose the hygger hg151 product. The question in my mind is, will it be too much if I buy a 12w product? Should I proceed with 6w? I can also buy 2 product. After the aquarium is completely settled, I will add LPS vs SPS corals. Can you support with your experiences?

Options are;
1- go for one 12w
2- go for one 6w
3- go for two 6w
4- go for one 6w and one 12w (use 12w with the lowest flow)

are you able to purchase a hygger gyre? I'd recommend one of those instead if available. Otherwise I'd think you'd want 2x 12 watt of the options you outlined to ensure sufficient flow for SPS.

Hey buddy! Only hygger??? Interesting. But yes, hygger is a good brand. I use their products.
Go for option 3. That way if one is not enough, you can add a second. what country are you from, that only sells hygger???

Thanks for the suggestions. I live in Turkiye. Due to many reasons, there are not many places selling the products for saltwater hobby in our country. Sellers are selling it very expensively.

I am going back and forth between option 3 and option 4.

I just saw this when I tried to buy it. If I buy two 6w products there is only a 10% discount, but if I buy one 6w and one 12w product there is also a 10% discount for each product. My only concern is if I go with the option 4 with 12w option will I regret it or will reducing the flow rate prevent future problems?

I have yet to encounter too much flow.
Now this tank is smaller, guesing what 90-120L?? So 2x little pump or one large is prolly enough. Difference is how you can set the flow patterns, 2 pumps can be arranged in unique ways, vs 1 pump will give more or less static flow. What kind of return pump you gonna run because that adds flow as well, so take that into consideration as well...

Aquarium will be 157liter with empty. I bought 10kg live rock. My return pump will be HSBAO - DEP 4000 which is in the sump. I bought it last week. Considering what you said, does it make more sense to go with 1 12w? There is no job that confuses me more than a saltwater aquarium, but I liked this detailed job. I am very obsessed with this adventure. My aquarium, which will be 2 years from now, appears in my dreams at night. I want to do everything in detail. I have a dream of making an aquarium with lots of visuals.

Long story short i thing i get it. I can go with option 1 - 3 - or 4. I just need to decide the flown pattern. Thank you.

Ok so i did the research conversions on your tank and your looking at a ~45g tank (168L) that return pumps is rated for 4000Lph. Good thing it's controllable but maybe return and down size that pump, for a 2000, return pumps don't need to be that fast. The only time I'd say have a larger pump, is when your pushing water a high amount upwards (opposite of gravity) [headheight].
Understand the return only needs about 5x max turnover so 168x5 is 840Lph. So an 840 will work, but just maybe a little slow at MAX power. That 4k pump will need to be turned way down most likely...

The $ diff is $5.00
I’d do two 12watts
yes, that's what confused me at first, if i buy one 6w and one 12w. i will get a total discount of 12 €

I make sure that the products are adjustable so that I can provide flexibility in the future. I think I will buy one 12w and one 6w, there will be a total discount of 12€ and I will be able to increase or decrease flow as I wish. I think it will not make me regret it.
