Hi everyone,

Been a while since we have been active here but that is about to change. TRITON has a lot of things happening behind the scenes and we are excited to share some information as we have done in the past. We are happy to note that our US customer base is constantly growing and we want to provide additional support on this forum for anyone that needs it.

To begin with we are very happy to announce another enhancement to the TRITON Applied Reef Bioscience Ecosystem. Interestingly this new addition is not a lab machine or innovative product but actually flesh and blood. We welcome Julian Baggio to the TRITON family

Julian has been an aquarist for almost 40 years and completed a degree in marine science at the University of Queensland, majoring in marine parasitology. First employed in the aquarium industry by Cairns Marine back in 1997 as a coral and fish collections diver, Julian moved into the role of aquarist, specialising in the care and transport of aquarium fish and coral. During the 20 years of working for Australia’s largest fish and coral wholesaler he was employed in numerous roles finally being elevated to the position as senior manager of export sales and freight logistics. Julian has also presented talks at numerous international conferences around the world like the IAC, RAW and MACNA.

Julian will be active alongside me on this forum with firsthand and valuable information from his life spent on the Great Barrier Reef.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the introduction Ehsan. I am glad to be a part of this excellent forum and look forward to being an active part of its community. As a hobbyist since the age of 5 I have spent most of my life talking about aquariums and reef tanks are my passion. I have been lucky enough to visit wholesalers and retailers around the world and seen a myriad of ways to run systems both good and sometimes not so good ;)

Working alongside Ehsan, from the TRITON headquarters in Cairns, Australia we will do our best to answer your questions. Hopefully, between my experience in reef biology and his high level understanding of reef chemistry, we can provide some input of value.

I am running Triton Core 7 since July, 6th, 2019.
My #1 problem is the poor support from the Triton team.
I often feel like I am BEGGING them to respond to me as days will go by before i get a response.
This is where I really see companies like Red Sea continue to be a standout in the industry.
YES, it means a lot when companies prioritize customer service.

It will be great to have some support again. Thanks for coming back!

Can any of the Core7 bottles be diluted with RODI?

Yes, all bottles can be diluted with RODI but just make sure to dilute all bottles equally.

Awesome. Thanks.

I just read that it said "ultrapure ro/di." I'm assuming my 4 stage with Sediment- Carbon block- Carbon block- DI stage is OK as long as it's zero TDS. Or should I add another stage of carbon or DI.?

Your 4 stage setup should be fine but we usually run the following stages:
Sediment - Carbon block - DI - DI where the second DI acts as a guardian stage in case the first DI locks up. If you wanted to add another stage you could add another DI to your setup.

FYI we usually run an inline TDS metre between the 2 DI stages with a probe located before and after the Guard DI to let us know when the first DI stage needs replacing. The old guard then becomes the first stage and a fresh guard put in place.

Ok, I think I'll buy another DI stage. So if the first DI stage is reading 1 TDS then you change it?

I'll have to pick up another TDS meter as well. Any recommendations?
