Our herp vet advised us to add a small litter box with an inch or two of walnut bedding to one side of the tank (the opposite of the side he eats on) so he can dig, and our guy loves it. He digs every day. Just a thought.

Right now he's in a 20-gallon L. I'm already planning to get something bigger either built ir bought... mostly because I want to make his habitat pretty cool!

We have Dobby in a Repti Habitat from Tetra. It’s a glass 75 gallon with sliding doors. Take a look at zenhabitats.com. They have an awesome enclosure that is the equivalent of a 120 gallon aquarium. There are tons of options out there.

I actually custom built both my Tegu and Dragon enclosures....I would go that route if you are up for it. Much better than glass aquariums due to size, flexibility, cost, etc. (Bearded Dragons grow pretty quick).

Really hard to tell sex before 6months.
We keep ours on bio type soil from biodude and has worked out great with mega rays bulb.

Loves to eat everything from greens to dubias and hissers and now hornworms.

Get them on a leash early and you’ll be able to take them for walks

He/She looks like a "Blaze" to me. Plus the name is gender neutral. :)

My son wanted a bearded dragon, but I was unsure if he would care for it. We started him out with a snowflake gecko. So far he takes reasonable care of it -- although I do have to tell him to clean its tank. He is hoping to upgrade to get one eventually.
