Hi guys, new to the site and relatively new to salt and in dire need of help. Long story short went to the beach picked up some shells and sand as a souvenir in a mason jar, and somehow it all wound up in the tank because the kids thought it would be cool to add the beach to the tank. Now I've got this these things taking over my tank and I have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it aside from completely restarting which of course I don't want to do. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

It's the little white pods with hair on the rock. I'll try and get a better picture when I get home.

You'll probably find that these will show up in areas where they don't have to compete too much with algae and coral. I've always seen a decent amount on the underside of the rockwork.
