Still unsure what this coral is. Some say hammer, some say Duncan, others say it’s bleached and leave. I’m not sure what it is. But has a new growth of some sort. Maybe a Vermetid snail? This grown was noticed today. Gonna inspect shortly.

This hasn’t opened. Free from lfs. They don’t know why it isn’t opening. They were not sure of its type. ChatGPT is dead set on the Duncan.

It’s definitely alive. It also either has a mouth or butthole. It opens here and there, then slightly lets out its tentacles maybe less that 3 cm out

This is either a hammer, frogspawn or frammer, IMO.

I copied your picture and Drew some circles and arrows, the circle is a vermetid snail. The arrows are live flesh/tissue.
Can it be saved? Possibly. It will be difficult but it can be done. You need perfect water parameters and a nice gentle flow that converges from different directions. And of course the lighting should be lower on the par.

Thanks! Seriously appreciated. I’m definitely gonna attempt to save it. I’m not super attached but might as well try and learn with it. I did clip it with finger nail clippers (specifically for the tank) then dabbed some super glue on that spot. Should I wait to see for the others? From my understanding that’s really the only way to get em. It’ll be an adventure for sure

If you have one you have more. I gave up on trying to clip everyone I saw and now I have hundreds in my tank , LOL.

Gahh. I’ve sat here staring waiting to see the others you pointed out. I’ll sit here all night if I gotta 😂

I really don't think this is a Duncan.
From what little flesh I see, it doesn't look anything like a shriveled Duncan. I see roundness in each tip of flesh. That tells me hammer or similar.

Of coarse, this is my opinion.

I have glued a giant portion of this lil fella. Covered what could possible be one. Sat in front of it for an extended period of time watching for the mucus and sure enough they were there. Hopefully I got them. I Will let it rest for the rest of the night. Very interesting things. I’m sure I’ll have more show up.
