As some of you may know, I've been making food for my tank for years now... I've been generally happy with some derivative of this recipe:

I'm out of food so I went to whole foods only to find they discontinued their Medley...

Does anyone make their food from Costco ingredients? or any advice where I can get what I need (will elaborate on this later) in the Western Suburbs of Chicago?

Do you happen to have any Aldi or Trader Joe’s stores near you? I get a seafood medley from either of them that make up the base of my diy fish food.

I usually use the mix from Aldi because I don’t have a Trader Joe’s near me. The blend from Aldi has mussels in the mix which the Trader Joe’s one doesn’t, but right off I don’t remember if it’s listed as TSP free. The mix from Trader Joes does specifically say TSP free.

If I had both stores near by I’d probably go with the mix from Trader Joe’s since it is listed as not having any preservatives. It’s a mix of shrimp, squid, and scallops. I buy a few bags anytime I go out of town and am near a Trader Joe’s.

Sorry for your loss, Sam. I quit Costco but my wife can't seem to let go of them.

Cosco used to have a breadkfast cereal that was flakes and lots of tree nuts, and delicious. I made up a cookie using that cereal and then Costco does what it does, it runs the supplier out of business by their business practices and the supplier dies, the great food item dies, and Kirkland produces a inferior replacement that explicatives hugely.

Watch for the Kirkland replacement, and then stop spending money at Costco, or any of the rest of these giant destroyers of market options.

The end is near.
