I noticed these two little bumps today while moving the frogspawn. What could they be?

Oh yeah it’s definitely frogspawn, got if from a lfs that only sells that type of coral. I thought the frogspawn had to split for a new head?

They split and sprout new heads. I have a hammer coral with several of these little guys sprouting off of it. Hammer coral is another type of euphyllia which is in the same family as frogspawn. Do you have a zoomed out picture of the coral? I can verify for you :)

Ignore that it’s on the sand, still trying to find the perfect area for it. :)

Sand is actually one of the more perfect places for it. They prefer low light and low flow, and from the looks of it it's happy where you've got it :)

Is it ok for tentacles to brush against the sand (picture shows then halfway inflated). I had it midway in tank on some rock when it might have splinted. Btw I have a red slime problem at the moment. Also was it a hammer coral?

Yup, zoomed out, multiple tips per tentacle, frogspawn :) If the sand is causing it issue it'll let you know :)

One last question :) , how long would it take for those tiny heads to grow the the size of the other ones. I also feed it frozen food with a mix of a lot of things, brine shrimp, mysis etc...

It's hard to say, each coral is different. I have a hammer coral that went from two heads to 30 in about 2 years.

What you have my friend is called a frammer coral. It's actually a more rate and valuable species of frogspawn.

Yeah, I was going to say that looks like a hammer x frogspawn. Never heard “frammer” though!

I have one with green tips. Here is an over 1-yr old photo of mine. Its gotten bigger but I haven’t noticed any new heads. Its been a pretty slow grower in my tank.

Forgot to check up on this thread. Never knew there was such thing as a mix between a frogspawn and hammer. Cool! I bought it from an Animart. Lol

This is exactly what my son recently got. I'm anxious to see it grow.
