Ok. I tried my best and I couldn’t remove the foxface. I created too many caves (which is great for their forever home). I never planned on needing to remove a fish now that they are all QTd.

I will hope that this fish will pull through. I’ve healed really bad bacterial infections without antibiotics before, but it will always be a crapshoot.

I have had great luck with fish traps by feeding in the trap but it does take a few days for most fish to even consider going in it.

Anyways, don't beat yourself up. You are doing the best you can and sometimes our pets get sick. It's not like you can load a fish up in a carrier and bring them to the vet (at least not easily).

Every fish seems to have dots suggesting either lympho or ich. Im leaning towards lymphocystis UNLESS the dots are on the glass. Some of the fish also are thin as previously mentioned and diet may have to be increased.
For some fish with actual bacteria Maracyn 2 works well but with the mix you have, I would suggest a broad treatment such as Ruby Rally Pro.
There is gram negative and gram positive bacteria which Jay H was referring to.
For diet:
Spirulina brine shrimp
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
LRS Herbivore diet
Formula 2 flake and frozen
Hikari Marine cuisine
Hikari Mega marine algae
Mysis shrimp
small plankton

Add selcon vitamins to the food 2-3X per week and garlic extract on alternating days for immunity system health and overall stamina

I agree most other have maybe lympho or plugs. This fox face dose not look right @vetteguy53081 He can not treat an entire tank with some things. @Miami Reef I would suggest at least try to catch him at night or under red lights. If you cant you cant.
Ruby rally I have found to be safe in lieu of other treatments. Aware I am of inablity to use after 36 years doing this.
Catching fish will stress it more as well as use of freshwwater dips.
Fish trap is my answer to catching any fish which Ive accomplished with a few hours or at night when fish is listless.

I’m going to keep trying to catch the fish. I will also increase feedings.

Also when treating fish, increase O2 with as simple as an air stone and pump

So what do you think is on the foxface? Will ruby even treat it?

I will.

I actually have a weapon: this foxface LOVES nori. I was trying to feed him with my seaweed holder in front of the bright blue net. It almost worked but the fish was too quick.

Nice job on your feeding approach too. Does that idol eat the worms was curious to know or does he just aim for a certain food and ignore the rest

No. He doesn’t like worms. He devours LRS fish frenzy and nori. He also likes brain corals.

I believe secondary bacterial. What may be cause- Water conditions/bioload or even stressors as these rabbits stress easily
Regarding ruby rally, It treats:
External Parasites
Dinoflagellates(
does a poor job with flagellateds IMO)
Marine Velvet
Gill Flukes
Clownfish Disease (
Brook)
Bacterial Infections
Tail & Fin Rot
Secondary Infections

They are picking the opposite side. I’m going to move the seaweed to the entrance.

Okay. Here’s the moorish. He’s the first one we will do. Those spots lasted over a week. New ones haven’t formed. They appeared to get bigger in size. The other side is completely clear.

This looks like uncomplicated Lymphocystis.

Here’s the copperband: He had maybe 2 of those pimples on his body but they were slightly smaller (but bigger than ich spots).

Do you think that is Lymphocystis on its snout? That is a complication I always worry about as it can impair feeding and the copperband looks a bit thin.

Here’s the foxface. Looks bacterial. When I just bought him (in QT) it appeared he has a slight mouth infection. But that healed up just fine. Foxface has no dots nor spots

Agreed, seems to be a minor secondary bacterial infection on its caudal fin. Are the cloudy eyes just an artifact of the photo?

Interesting you bring this up. When I google foxface I see a bunch of pictures with foxfaces with the same eye appearance:

Yes. It’s lympho on his snout.

He was actually skinnier than this. I feed blackworms only once a day, but I’m going to bump it to at least 2. It doesn’t impair his eating at all. He has a really good appetite (but only for BW)
