I had one in my prior tank. He wasn't active, but he was always visible, perched at the entrance to his burrow. He had a pistol shrimp- did yours? They seem to be more confident with a pistol shrimp. A yellow watchman and a tiger pistol wouldn't be super showy, but would be a nice option for this tank, or for most tanks. Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone actually enjoy their watchman goby? Mine is a grumpy little creep who I see less than once a week. I just chuck some food into his cave because I'm afraid he'll starve.
the Foxface PoliceListen ye not to the ravings of the Tang Police. Either fish will do fine in a 4' tank.
He doesn't have a pistol shrimp -- I didn't know they were pals! I have a scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, and it doesn't sound like the pistols are good tankmates with other shrimp. :(I had one in my prior tank. It’s apparently a bee sting but around 2x worse - I mean, their spines are venomous no matter if it’s the dorsal or anal. Mine when I got it jumped and the person bagging it got it by his side and plopped it into the bag stress free for both of them.Foxface rabbit fish
be warned . Touching its spines hurts like nothing comparable .
I feel threatened glad I went with a springersSunrise dottyback. Beautiful fish, but has some attitude:
