What are the rarer colors for a torch coral?

Gold and Black are my favorites.

I bought a "gold" one and a "black" one...turns out they both are actually purple though, so that sucks. Purple is fine too, I'm just trying to have an assorted collection.

Where does everyone buy their crazy different colored torches?

I got my torch from my LFS "The Fish Bowl" down in Delaware. They usually just get an assortment of corals. I got that Aussie Torch (well that's what I think it is lol) for 55 for one head. And Black is my favorite color as well.

How often? I've been feeding Red Sea A-B once a week (Sunday) and Reef Roids (Wednesday) once a week.

They get reef roofs Twice a week and get pellets from the fish food every day

from what I understand the blacks are just a fancy name for the deep purples. tho some are more "black" than others .

This one has very thick, semi-rigid tentacles. The color of the tentacles is uneven, purple to green, kind of mottled. The tips appear white or pink under blue light. The base of the polyp is neon green! Odd to me, but maybe it’s not uncommon?curios what people think of this one.

This one is from WWC and has neon tips that don’t really have a “cap” like structure. The base is dark purple. It’s kind of the inverse of the first one.

Does it really matter what the rare colors are, if the torches bring joy to you every time you look at them, as mine do, then they are priceless.
