I hope you guys like my YWG photobomb! This is my very first post. My main question is about the neon blue green spots and the blackish spots. I made the arrows the color that it seems to be irl, camera didn’t do it justice. Neither colors come off with turkey baster or a light rub. The urchin, nerites and ceriths seem to munch it, but it never fully goes away. It only grows in the high light side of the tank.
It’s a 30 gallon with a well cycled filter and live rock. I do 30% water changes weekly, sometimes after a week and a half if I’m very busy. I have LOTS of copepods, amphipods and bristle worms that seemed to totally take care of a small area on the back glass that had what I think was that red Dino slime. I can list what the tank is stocked with if that seems necessary.
Also, is the purple coralline? Is there anything else I should do about the dino/cyano?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Love the YWG!

To me, that just looks like normal, various film algae coming in a couple of colors. I don't believe that's anything you have to worry about, but maybe I'm missing seething in the photos?

I'm sure someone can tell you for sure 🙂 Good luck!!

^^^This is what I was thinking too, unless you are seeing a fish with a paintbrush.

Welcome!
That’s so funny!! I’ve been searching all over for something in that teal shade but haven’t found an answer yet. I’m still new to this, so I just don’t want to let something bad grow.

Hello, welcome. I like the little yellow intruder in the first photo. And judging by the colorful algae, I think it's normal.

If you are keeping LPS, some Duncan’s come in shades of teal.

I have two Duncan corals! You’re so right, the green one I have is super close to that shade. I have a pink Duncan that is growing 4 separate new heads, but my green one has been mad at me since the urchin pushed it over.
