excited to have finally picked up my first corals for my Pico tank! I did notice some growths on the rock that my Kenya tree came in. Any ideas as to what are these? I have already identified one as a mussel

Congrats on the fist coral. The keyna tree grows quick and will drop limbs. This can over take a tank just watch them. When a limb drops place on a plug or rubble in a low flow area they will quickly attach to the media and you'll have frags to trade, give away or sell to a lfs.
I love my keyna tree.
