What camera do you use?

Am still using Canon 50D, yes it's an older model, but as far as am concern it does the job. As per what everyone else says it's the lens that matter the most. I use a 100mm macro lens in combination with the 50D.

on a side note I do hope to upgrade to a full frame with a L series lens!

I'll pass along one more bit of advice I was given when I first got into photography - budget for Photoshop (or Lightroom, these days), and shoot in raw mode. :)

shoot in Dual mode. shoot raw + JPG so then you have a reference point in case you dont remember colors and need a reference. Nikon has amazing JPG compression that does a great job and I typically use it and only modify photos that really need it.

i use the cannon powershot d10 12mp an it works awesome you can get right up to the piece of coral an take the shot.
