What DC pump to replace Vectra M2 ?

I might have to send my Vectra M2 for repair and would like a DC replacement pump while it’s gone. It has to be quiet as I sit in front of the tank most of the day. I am not good at diy and have very little tools so it has to be an easy installation.

Vectra M 2 specs
Flow: 2,000 gph (7,500 lph)
Wireless: Included
Max Head Pressure: 21.5 feet (6.5 m)
Footprint: 4.5 in. x 7.5 in. (113.5mm x 192.6mm)

What do you recommend ?

I recently got a jebao mpd10000 and I'm super happy with it, the pump is super quiet and is easy to install. It's wifi capable but I have not messed it.
It's a cheap replacement and works wonders imo

I got it on amazon a bit of a higher price, but I rather deal with amazon than Ali.

I have 3 jebao dcp returns running. I can't hear any of them over the flow of the water through the sump. They're cheap enough I keep a back up for all of them on the shelf. I run a dcp 3500, 5000, and a 15000.

So far I have 3 contenders : Jebao DCP-10000, Simplicity DC 2100 and

STAYGROW Arctic Series DC-10000.​

This last one I never heard of before so I don’t think I’ll try it. I have some Jebao products and like them and my Simplicity skimmer is quiet so those are two good choices. All three are about 200$ + tax so it’s a lot better than 695$ + tax for the Vectra M2…

I went with the Jebao DCP-10000. It should be here in 3-4 days. I can’t wait to try it as my Vectra keeps bugging.

I have two of the MDP. One as backup and salt mixing duty. I also switch them out when one needs to be cleaned. No down time. Two are cheaper than one “better” pump. Never had one fail in 4 years. WiFi never worked for me but I don’t care for that.

Have you found a pump that replaces that Vectra M2 but that uses the same plumbing sizes?

The cup is glued to the PVC, so I’d like a pump that can screw on to the same size the Vectra did.

I bought this one which should have the exact attachment size needed so I don’t need to undo anything. I tested it in m sink and it’s working really well and seems silent enough but I haven’t used it on the tank. My pump started working fine again so I didn’t do anything with it.

The new pump is sitting in my basement, ready for when I need it.

Are you saying that the blue coupling screw from Echotech can directly twist into the Jebao pump without any plumbing adjustment?

That was the goal but it’s been a while and now you are making me doubt it, lol !

I’ll take it out of its box tomorrow and I’ll check it and let you know. Here is a picture of my set up. Maybe the blue coupling isn’t needed.
