Cool long spine urchin. Good algae eaters but can knock over frags in the tank. Probably more suitable for large systems.

(Good catch-- I didn't even notice the size of the tank.)

What's the size of your tank? There's a chance that urchin might be too big for your tank.

Your pictures are all blue and difficult to see but my best guess is a Pencil Sea Urchin, or Eucidaris tribuloides. It will eat everything down to the base rock. In large tank, like mine, it is great but in small tank it may eat whatever you want growing on the rock, include coralline algae and encrusting corals. When my Pencil Urchin craw over a rock it leaves behind white rock with pits that contain the slight left-over algae which start to grow again.
You may or may not want to keep it in a small tank.

Healthy Pencil urchin should have new spikes that look different from the older algae cover spikes. This picture shows the tooth marks of my Sea Urchin on the rock. It will poop out white calcium sands. The spikes grow from the tips so it almost always sharp and pointed.
