Was doing a partial water change today and noticed this on a rock. Probably the size of a dime. Any ideas what it is? Thanks for any help.

You probably have quite a few more lurking around a blue flashlight at night will show you where they are.
They're a pain to get rid of also

At what point would you start to attempt to get rid of them? I've had the usual small white starfish hitchhikers and slug things that have been fairly easy to remove. I am sure these would be more along the lines of aptasia when trying to remove. I've heard others say they are harmless and I would agree at this point as I only see this one spot currently.
