I have had this dimond goby for around 2 years now. I started a new tank 3 months ago that is going well and decided to move him over to the new tank. The tank he was in like I said has been running about 3 months and has an amazingly heavy pod population every inch of glass gets covered if I don’t scrape it away and the goby are prepared foods like a champ. After 1 week in the tank I woke up and found him hiding in a dark corner of the tank breathing heavy. I caught the fish quick and moved him to a qt tank shortly after these pictures the fish passed away. I currently only have a leopard wrasse who was also moved from my old tank and a yellow tang. My other fish have zero symptoms that I can find and as a precaution have been moved to my qt tank to be monitored and medicated as need be.
If it was velvet I would assume the tang would be dead already considering it’s captive bread but maybe that’s a poor assumption.
Is this velvet or just a fungal infection what does everyone think
Thank you in advance
