I got this piece a while back as a freebie nub with another order. Unfortunately I don't remember which vendor. It was tiny when I got it. Only a little pinkie size nub. As it's been encrusting it's colors are really coming out.

It has a nice red/pink color to the body with a blue encrusting edge. Polyps are yellow/gold. I have a potato as a camera, so I have a hard time taking good pics. I thought it was a mille but, it doesn't have huge polyps or the coralite structure of a mille. Has anyone seen anything similar?

Not similar, but I've seen the same SPS grow differently in different tanks. Including growth pattern like you're talking about. I bet if you move it to a different light intensity and in different flow, it would grow differently. Also, I bet if your parameters were diffferent (not bad, just different) they might grow differently as well.

To me, it does have that tight-knit grouping that milles seem to have. Plus, the colors are awesome!

I will try and track its progess and see what it becomes. I will also try and get a better pic.
