I'm using Jagers but my LFS has Aquatop heaters for pretty cheap which I am thinking of picking up a few. I have read the Jagers have good reliability, they are just SO big. I want a little smaller to not take up so much space in my tank

Inkbird heat/cool on the nano with Aqua One 50W heater.
Profilux Heat/Cool control on the Display Tank with 2 x 200W Aqua One Heaters.

Cobalt Neotherms were very reliable pre Apex. There are horror stories for all heaters. Best practice is to go with a good brand, have a backup on hand, and replace them yearly no matter what.

Someone (autoaqua?) makes a temp sensor that you plug in between the wall and heater that turns it off at 79-80.

Titanium heater (or heaters depending on tank size) connected through an Inkbird/BRS controller. I then plug the Inkbird into my Apex EB832 for redundancy.

Just got a helios for my new 125. Appears to be very well made, nothing seems cheap. My only complaint is that there is no way to mount the controller, they send some double sided tape. I just purchased a mount off etsy from printed3dparts.

I use Finnex heaters on InkBird controllers. I have an apex and I still let my InkBird control the heat, it has always worked perfectly for me.

I have finnex on an inkbird IF the inkbird feels like working.
Ranco is starting to become appealing to me
