what is a prefix

Welcome to R2R!

You have put in at least one prefix in the line to proceed. Most people use Emergency.

I don't really post here but i've been a member for awhile.

I tried to post in the WTB section for some cross hatch triggers and it said the minimum number of prefixes hasn't been met.

What does that mean?

Welcome! Glad you joined, came over here to say hi ... but I've no idea. Also don't understand Peter's response, so obviously I must not go to that area too often. Some areas of Forum do have requirements like having so many posts OR so many reactions to your post. ... but bottom line, no idea on your question.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

I ‘think’ you have to have a certain number of posts before you can do it, or maybe Peter is correct above, but I’ll ask

@Peace River do you know?

@topshelfjeff - it looks like you figured it out. Feel free to PM me if there are still questions.

For anyone reading this post, prefixes are the colored ‘tags’ that you will commonly see in the marketplace or the ‘emergency’ tag that you will see in the fish disease section. Prefixes can be selected during the creation of a new thread. I think the prefixes are usually found above the thread title (if any are available). Additionally, sometimes prefixes are required, sometimes they are available but not required, and other times there are none available. Prefixes are dependent on the user level and where the new thread is being placed.

Im also lost. I'm looking for a Aqua Medic fish trap, but when I try to post 'looking for' I get an error that says I need 2 prefixes. How do I do that?

Nevermind, I figured it out
