Bought a favia frag a couple of weeks ago. About a week ago I noticed one of the corners started to get brown. Today this is what I saw trying to get out Anyone who know what I have living under my coral? Suggestions on what to do? Dip ? Remove? IMG_1101.png

starfish

you're trying to have a slice of the ocean in your home, starfish are from the ocean
chill
you will never remove it completely and it can split/clone itself which will happen the moment you pull at it.

He probably lives there and has for a while. They come out to feed at night and then go back to their hidy holes during the day. If they throw their arms out like that there is probably something they think is food they can grab.
They are serpent stars or closely related. I have hundreds of them in my tank and they spawn a couple times a year which is fun to watch.
They all clime up to a high point and release sperm or eggs depending and then the corals all open up like crazy to eat their babies. Fun times.
this is what they look like outside
