What is on my cleaner shrimp

I have no idea what this is on my shrimp, it almost looks like dirt. At first I just thought maybe it was something he ate but it’s been 3 days since I first noticed it and after looking closely i could tell it’s on the outside of the shrimp not the inside.

Wow. As soon as I posted this I looked back at my tank and that shrimp has malted and no longer has the weird black spots on him

Glad it went away with the molt. Check your RODI water for 0 tds. I had a similar issue and the shrimp didn't make it. After some research I read it could be due to water quality bought a TDS meter and sure enough I had bad water.

Glad it went away with the molt. Check your RODI water for 0 tds. I had a similar issue and the shrimp didn't make it. After some research I read it could be due to water quality bought a TDS meter and sure enough I had bad water.

Aw I’m so sorry to hear that. Thank you for letting me know I’ll be sure to be more careful and make sure the water is good the next time that happens!

You dont leave your shrimps molts in tank for them to eat?
