That is a slipper shell, it is harmless to your reef but may weigh down the snail some and make it less active. You can pop them off if you would like but it won’t hurt anything otherwise and they filter your water and are beneficial.

John has great customer service! Every time I have emailed him he is always super responsive and helpful. In this case it wasn't about an order or his stock but he responded in 6 minutes. Both my orders from him have been great.

The slipper did not come off easily so I just tossed them back into the tank.
