yea it is, but ime, you can get a larger amount of racemosa (grape caulerpa) for a less of a price (larger amount = faster growth initially and easier to establish) and also its more effective than chaeto, only downside as you have mentioned is that there is a possibility of it "going sexual" also its more invasive and not as easy to control, that said I have never experienced it going sexual ever

If there is one thing I've noticed from being a member of this community and my own limited experience it is that some flora and fauna thrive in some systems, but not all.

For instance, if I put chaeto in my system it disintegrates.

If I put gracilaria hayi/ parvispora and they do okay - but they aren't prolific.

Caulerpa (grape, Mexicana, and prolifera) all do extremely well - with the grape being particularly prolific.
