Recent was a Timor wrasse that went MIA for about 6 weeks. Bought a redline wrasse to replace the timor as reef pest control and behold the timor was out eating flake like it has been living it's best life. Now it's out daily.

I had a full grown supermale blue head wrasse that disappeared for several months. I thought he jumped and the cat ate him. This was a 75 so not too much room to hide in. I wasn't particularly upset since he would go on a rampage and kill/eat every invert he could find in one go. Then one day I came home from work and there he was swimming laps again. Still don't know what he was doing that whole time.

Old thread, but this gives me hope that both the goby and 6 line are just on the shy side.

Added two snowflake clowns today, and they got the powder blue and foxface to swim around a lot more and be social... So maybe in the next few days / weeks the other two fish will re-appear.

All still very new to me.

Had mine hide for a couple of days and showed up unexpected.
I haven't seen my new royal gramma in almost a week… I’ve had new fish hide, but typically 48 hours is enough to at least see them come out for food. I’ve heard crazy stories of fish hiding for several months assumed dead, only to reappear during re-aquascaping.

So let’s hear it! What’s your experience?
