What is the worst fish ever?

Titan triggerfish bar none. Had one to cycle a 180g tank. If you stuck your hand inside the tank to try to clean or pick something up you would immediately be attacked. Mine was only 5” and drew blood

The most aggressive fish I've ever had was a purple dottyback. The most boring fish in my opinion are lionfish (basically a stomach that swims and has 0 personality).

The worst fish to keep is the harliquin file fish. Basically a 30% chance of survival, if that. Also fish that like to jump out the the tank, yellow watchman goby somehow escapes with only a tiny sliver of the lid over.

Queen Trigger....beautiful fish but killed everything in my tank. The LFS said; "Well, now you have a display aquarium for a Queen Trigger."
How big was the Queen when you put it in the tank? How long was it in the tank before it killed everything? And how big is the tank?

I’m asking because I’m a considering one. Crazy I know.

Yep undulated trigger is the worst in my book.

It's funny everyone is mentioning tomato clowns. I've got one that gets along with everyone in the tank, knock on wood of course.

It was in a 30 gal. aquarium. I know, the tank was too small but I wasn't as astute as I am now. She got to be about 4-41/2". I also had a 5" Lion fish in there and she killed it and ate most of it. I would say you need at least a 75 gal. or larger tank for a Queen and do research on what could be compatible with it.

blue chromis, mine was positively evil, to be perfectly honest though i have not had very many marine fish

Technically not a fish, but my new Skunk Cleaner Shrimp are the worst. My original two died from old age and both were awesome. the new pair are indiscriminate snail eaters. Every morning there’s a buffet of empty snail shells. It’s at the point where I might have to get rid of them as CUC replacements aren’t cheap and outweigh the cost of the cleaner shrimp. And the shrimp don’t clean any fish, so literally just death machines with no benefit aside from looking cute.

Red Tail Damsels - within 24 hours they killed my Cleaner Shrimp. Never agained.
Chocolate Chip starfish (not technically a fish) - I believe it was killing my invertibrates

Thanks for the info. Yeah I have had issues with Triggers in any of my smaller tanks including a 110g! Most are now in a 750g. If I try one, it will go in a 600g.

They have such odd colors to them!
exactly - that's the "worst" lol

I'm "one of those" that easily get bored with the usual fish. I prefer uniqueness, limited supply, or rare fish... that's why I like koi tangs (which I recently lost but will replace soon) due to their interesting patterns. Gem tangs are cool, too - each one is different.
