So I got a frag of this stuff from my LFS. They say it is Briareum but IDK. If not Briareum what is it?

Look- all I know is that this stuff is crazy cool and rare.

The picture your buddy took looks like Sympodium, it is photosynthetic encrusting soft coral. A bunch of pieces hit stateside a month or two ago.

I agree its an Indonesian coral and collections in the Indo area are cyclic in that what is avail today may not be avail again for 3-6 mnths, Nice

I have some as well. It likes good flow and moderate/high lighting. A lot of people were selling it a few months ago, but not so much now.

My LFS also has a couple large pieces. Might have to get a frag. Is it growing for anyone?
