I was looking at the tank this morning before the lights come and while everything is still a bit retracted from the lights being off and noticed what looks like white hair growing from one of my hammer corals base skeleton. Can anyone help identify and let me know if there is anything I need to treat him with to prevent spread to my other LPS or SPS Corals

Thanks ahead of time!!!

Not an expert but I do believe that it could be the foundation on which new skeletal growth builds on. And or what it would use to attach itself to rocks.

My guess would be some kind sponge/ tunicate or something along those lines but wait for more experienced members to chime in.
