Fish still not eating hangs in the corner all day. Arrived last Wednesday. Saw this tag on the top of his fins. Any ideas?

has it been there the whole time you've had him? Or is it something you just noticed? Any meds in the water currently?

It's been there the whole time. I've started copper today put in metroplex yesterday. Will build up copper slowly.

I'd plan on running prazi. You could do a freshwater dip on him and see if it comes off in the dip. I'd be curious to know how it reacts to the dip.

Sorry wrong med. Guess I'm learning something. I did a fresh water dip stayed on. Added prazipro not metro!

Figured he's not eating anyway so mine as well see if it's because he's sick so started with meds. Time will tell if that was the way to go.

How long was the dip? Did you do the full 5 minutes?

Thats weird. Its hard to see from the photo, but does it look like some sort of parasite? or perhaps a dead scale.
My initial thought would be a parasitic worm, but FW or prazi should have dislodged it.
Now i'm leaning to probably a damaged skin due to transportation with some excess slime coat. In that case you just need to wait and it will heal up.
Looking forward to hear from @Humblefish and the rest of the squad

Now I see the clown has white stringy pooh as well. Have copper and prazipro in there now. Should I also feed metro soaked food?

Prazi should take care of it, you can also add metro to make sure the parasite is gone as sometimes they might be prazi resistant but make sure to add Focus too to bind the medication to the food.

I missed your previous post, but it looks like a parasitic worm attached on the fish. Do you have formalin on hand to do a bath, it might help get rid of it. If not, I believe just wait and give it a day or two with prazi and hopefully it will detach.

+1 Looks anchor worm like. Does the tail end of it make a "V" or look anything like this:

Today he's laying on his side. Doubt he will make it. Darn it!

Can worms kill them? Or is it just the stress of shipping?

I doubt it was the worm-- was probably another ailment. The worm didn't help, however. Potters are notoriously fragile until established (some 2-3 months, typically).

Yeah I knew that going in. Might get one from a LFS next time that I can see is eating. Anything I can do now? He's still breathing but on his side.
