Yes I'm going to take it out and scrub it. I'm guilty of over feeding :/. ( I've stopped) It's the only rock with it but my hermits love it. If it doesn't work I'll remove it. I'm not worried about the snowflake thing it's just beautiful and would love to know what it is ❤️
Might be more then over feeding check out this video

This was brilliant. Thank you! I'm guilty of 3 of these. I was told to add liquid food for the coral daily. I was for a week and that's when the algae started and the brown algae bloom as well. I've completely eliminated it. I also over fed the tank. I wanted all the hermits , harlequin, arrow crab, corals, invertebrates and fish to have enough - because they looked "hungry ". Also was running lights too long. I've since bought an auto light monitor and the apex "brain". Hopefully I can undo this mess before it moves to the large rocks. Right now it's on one very small rock but obviously it will spread. Thank you SO MUCH. I love how people are so quick to help and I look forward to being able to do the same one day. You all rock!!
