I bought a tank over the weekend and this was left in it. Any ideas on what it is?

+1 As to what kind of, your just going to have to wait for it to color up as it seems to have browned out. It looks like the tips are turning purple so I may be some kind of purple tort or something similar. Hard to say til it colors up.

My first impression/thought would be a "browned-out" Acropora tenuis, or vermiculata, something along those lines.

Thanks for the help. New to SPS so I was thinking it was just a reddish brown colored coral. Hopefully I can bring it back.

Looks like a real stressed blue tort kinda to me. It's got good polyp extension so keep things stable etc. it should come back nice.
