I have veen fighting to get these zoas to open for weeks I have done multiple revive dips and they still won’t open. Now one of them has this kind string coming out of somewhere on the drag. What is is and what can I do else to try and get them to open. Also me Kenya tree gas balled up a lot more than usual at night during the day.

First we need to know water parameters. PH, KH, NO3, CA , Ammonia etc. Next what kind of lighting, flow, tank size and age. Any one or more of these could be all or part of your problem.

I would place them in a lower low / less light area for a bit and let them be...Your tank should have some measurable No3 in it and what is your phosphate reading as that is an important one to know.....

All mine are at sand bed level. While not at critical levels, both PH and DKH are a little on the low side. Moving them is not helpful either. Best to place them and leave them alone. Impatience is the ruin of many a reefer.
