What lighting setup are you using on your 6ft SPS dominant tanks?

Beautiful setup. Any chance you've checked the PAR?
Thank you I did. I rented a par meter from BRS a few weeks ago. Before I added the 2 Unos par across the top of my scape was 250-350. My lights sit 10” off the water & the top of my scape is dead center of my tank at 13” below the water line or 13” off the bottom. I did this to allow for plenty of growth.
I tested par with my Jumpguard lid on and all pumps on with my normal daily flow. Dual COR 20’s returns at 60%. 3 Redsea Reefwave 45’s & 2 MP 40’s. I have a lot of water movement. I mention the water movement because it really effect the par readings.
I added the additional 2 Unos based on my initial readings. I really don’t need them yet but once my corals grow large & I get some shading I want to make sure I have plenty of coverage.
Not sure if I will rent a meter again because I know I have plenty of coverage. Probably 350-500 across the top of the scape now.

The Trifecta-

I would do reef brite xhos on the front and back, angled inward at 45 degrees. Then a couple t5s in front and a couple t5s in back.

Reef Brite Halides in the middle. (Cause they run cooler)

Maybe some Kessils or red sea leds between the halides for ramp up and down and some nice shimmer when halides aren't running.

I can't even begin to imagine how I would hang this without a canopy to conceal the monstrosity.

Looking good! How's the par on either side of the fixture?

I have been running 3x XR30s for several years. Had Gen 4 and upgraded to Gen5. Recently got some larger SPS and noticed very obvious shading. Opted to get a 4th XR30 and mount them perpendicular to the tank vs parallel. Quick tests moving the lights and the shadows were really cut down. Sadly waiting on a new lid to permanently install the 4th light.
