What my skimmer is doing?

Okay, im probably having a hard time understanding. But let me try. So the water inside the body of the skimmer is already below the neck. Are u saying by raising that tiny bit of water above the neck will fix the issue? Isnt the fat inside tje body of the skimmer?
I believe raising the level will help because the symptom of high fat is bubbles that prematurely pop.

Raising it will get the fat to pop out in the collection cup.

I like to have the water line here:

Wnd that little bit of water level raise will fix the issue? Ill try it on my next day off
It could help export more of the fats.

Changing the carbon and switching to low fat diets will get everything back to normal.

If the problem persists, maybe the skimmer pump needs to be cleaned. Is your skimmer pump controllable? Is it on the max setting?

Oh. Max it out.

That could definitely be a cause. I noticed your skimmer water was more diluted than normal.

I think the skimmer performance will be significantly better after adjusting the pump and water level.

The weird part my friend iv been using this skimmer for almost 2 years same speed, same everything. Its just i dont know lately been having those issues. And the only reason i didn’t max it out. Because i was watching a youtube video for brs and they said its recommended for regular people to set the skimmer speed at the normal level which is 70%

I saw that video, too. It wasn’t very good advice because most people have a higher organic load than not.

It’s very difficult to “overskim” unless the skimmer is massively oversized compared to the tank volume.

My skimmer it shows its rated for numbers below. My tank is 200G with 150G total water volume. Should i still max it out

Try maxing it out. Skimmer companies overstate their actual capacity for marketing.

Try it. You can always lower it back if you don’t like the results, but I think you’ll be very happy.

There is really no maxing out a skimmer. A skimmer just skims, that’s what it does. Depending on what bioload is in your tank is what matters,if you have a heavy load your skimmer is gonna do a lot of skimming, if you have a light load, your skimmer is not gonna do much skimming.

clean and rebuild the pump. Get a toothpick and clean any gunk that has built up in the bubble blaster wheel. As well as the Venturi port. If your motor is slowing down from build up raising the water level will actually start to hurt if the water level goes beyond the intake level of the silencer as it can’t suck in enough air to combat the pressure the excess water water is exerting on the inner walls.

Very nice! Looks much better!

Try cleaning the pump. Maybe it’ll make it even better.

You already have a great improvement!
