Saltwateraquarium.com they're great & you get your items quickly. Was using Marinedepot.com before Bulkreefsupply.com bought them. Investors have screwed up Bulkreefsupply.com I only use them if I have too..you'll be taxed & shipping slow

I've noticed many comments like this about BRS. I've ordered a couple of things from them without trouble, though as I said above I generally use SA. I'm curious about the hate for BRS-- I have no skin in the game, just curious.

Couple reasons. The first being that with their TV etc they act like they’re experts in the hobby. So they push people to buy certain things like Red Sea tanks for instance which really isn’t right.

They also are quietly buying different brands in the space such as eco tech and whatever brands make ai primes and are refusing to carry other lines to shut down the opposing companies.

In other words they are killing certain brands in the space and turning into just an amazon while killing products.

Plus they’ll overcharge you if they can. When I was new to the hobby I paid nearly double for instant ocean salt. Never again unless there’s literally nobody else who carries the product I want.

Because their wholesale prices to my lfs are stupid high compared to other suppliers to the point there is very little room for profit on their end when they sell at the same price brs has on their website. Since Ryan sold the company I feel they have went downhill and leaning on corporate greed vs catering to the small community that is reefing!
