So I purchased this and every time I do the auto water change it seems to make my corals all close up. I’m guessing there is something in it that’s bad like grease. It there anything that’s ok for salty water that has like 1/3 hp since this is in my basement and needs to push the water up as I’m using 3/4” pex-a to deliver the the water?

I have no clue how I would connect that. It’s currently setup to take the same size connection as a garden hose. Should I just dump out the current 35 gallon brute and start over since this pump might have contaminated the whole thing?

I would clean out the brute tank (just for peace of mind)

Is the freshly mixed water matching the parameters of the tank before you perform the change? Things like salinity, temperature, and alkalinity being different will get a quick reaction from your corals.

No ideas?

The pump I gave you link to uses a much smaller hose than garden hose size. If you willing to downsize and invest into a smaller hose, that's the pump I'ld go with. It handles head pressure up to 14ft

That other guy said that would be way to small?
