I'm currently working on my 120 gal (60x18x26) build.
I already have a Marineland Reef Capable LED w/ timer 48-60" light.
I know now (after I made my uneducated purchase) this isn't the greatest light.
I also have one (24" model) over my 56 gal column, my LPS and zoa are doing good from what I can tell.
I plan to stay LPS and zoa in the 120, but I feel as though this one (48") wont be enough.
I was looking into doing another LED setup, but found I'd probably spend close to a grand...

What should I do? Another Marineland and spend $400, or buy another setup and try to get as much back on my current LED?
If another setup, I am open to suggestions!!

Sorry for the lengthy backstory and Thanks in advance,
Shawn

If your planing on only LPS and zoa's I might just add a couple of compact florescent, or t5's. That should give your plenty of light and easy on the pocket

My friend brought a Reefbrite led and is really good. You can add a blue into the marineland and your tank will be awesome.

+1 do LED T5 combo. Just pick yourself up a t5 fixture to go along with the LED. Prob could o simple 2 bulb one.

Over my 55 I have 50 LEDs running at 100 watts, believe their 3w LEDs running at 2. 26white 24blue.
Than I picked up a deep blue t5ho fixture with just the two bulbs 1 actinic 1 white. It has led moonlights that I'll be splicing in a second power cord for soon.

I have just one sps frag towards top doing fine, rest is lps and zoa. Doing good as well. Only thing I've lost is a goniopora that was destined to lose anyway..
