Setting up my first tank with a sump. It’s a 75g tank with a Fuji cube 36 sump. What should I be doing with all the extra space in the sump? I’m thinking I could basically shove extra dry rock under the filter floss basket, around the skimmer chamber, maybe a little in the bottom of the refugium chamber (but it seems shallow enough that maybe I don’t want anything else in there?). Is that something I should do or should I just leave some of that space as empty water volume? I’ve also got a bio brick type thing (the 1 inch plate variety, blanking on the name) already in my current display to help cycle the tank when I move stuff over.

I’d move skimmer in chamber near the return pump (if it’ll fit) and turn middle section into a refugium or cryptic zone with real live rock...or put rock under filter floss area. The more live rock the better.
