My first 3 were;
Red monti cap, Frog spawn, and Rose bubble tip anemone.
The red monti cap grew to the size of a diner plate, went away for the week, came home and it was mostly gone. Salvaged a piece the size of a dime. Doing well again.
Frog spawn got huge, moved a piece from my 75 to the 45. doing well in the 45 but i believe the filefish enjoyed the ones in the 75.
RBTA.... one... one, the size of a quarter.... Split so many times I lost count at 40.

Also started with GSP. Now isolated to its own island. Even survived a house fire along with my toadstool and clowns. Still going strong after two years.

I sold the colony but saved a small frag, so technically I still have it. :)

That’s a nauti spiral. Not a $10 coral at all

First one was a green zoa colony rock. It's pictured in my icon on this site. I still have it, the colony is twice as big as when I got it and I have one 10 polyp frag from it.

My tank isn’t that old, but my first was an Australian Neon Green Sinularia, first introduced Oct 17. I nearly killed it over-dosing Phos-Correx to address a phosphate issue (bad test kit told me I still had high phosphate when I didn’t), but after a bit of surgery it pulled through and is doing great.

What was your first coral and do you still have it?
If not what happened to it?

It might also be interesting to know when you started in the hobby as well, to see if peoples first corals have changed over the years because advancements in the hobby have made them easier to keep.

Mine was a finger coral, starting as a single finger and getting to 1.5feet wide before I eventually sold it. I started 11 years ago

Mine was scleronephthya orange. No more, bummer :(
