What would you do with this tank?

Out of curiosity.
How would you stock, scape, and light this tank?

My first thought was sea horses and nps corals.

To me, that is a nightmare tank and I wouldn’t even buy it for 200

Cylindrical rockwork up the center and then anemones all over. 2-3 fish to add some movement. Light with 3-4 Kessil 180.

I kind of agree with @VintageReefer. The rounded corners or bow front or cylinder tanks distort view and make me get vertigo. I could see uses though. Like a pilon from a pier or oil rig in the center and things that would live there like sponges and non-photosynthetic corals growing on it or like @NC AL says something species tank related nems. I would have to sit down to do anything looking, cleaning or pretty much anything around the tank though.

Even seahorses like to swim horizontally, not just up and down. This is not a functional tank IMO

Rounded glass distorts views. Bowfront is kinda ok, but I’d never do it again. Cylindrical is an even more extreme curve, and distorts more. Plus forget about any typical glass scraper. They can’t be used. On top of that it’s a tall narrow tank, so any maintenance will a pain, flow will be a pain, lighting needs to be strong and narrow. It’s just something I personally would completely avoid.

There must have been a clearance sale at a distributor on these tanks. A bunch have popped up at LFS's near me.

As for the tank. I'd pass, even for $300, I'd still pass. It's just not practical for much, and is going to be a pain to clean.

I have always wanted a cylinder with a column in the middle and alternating whirlpool-type gyre flow. With a bunch of non photo gorgonians. I would drill it for a closed loop with 2 DC pumps with locline coming through the bottom in opposing directions. Then alternating between the 2 pumps to create the mass gyre flow. The grogs could all be perpendicular to the mass flow.
