Got this tank off older reefers who just wanted out of the hobby and I cleaned everything a resealed the protective silicone just to do it and learn how as I want to get a used 120-150 and will want to do it for that. The tank would come with tank, stand, sump, return pump, skimmer, 3 socks, flex hose plumbing, and refugium light. Also have G3 XR30 pro and blue with reeflink for the tank. I went thru and cleaned everything as well as re painted and reinforced the stand as if I was to set it up. Now, I need to get rid of this tank cuz the urge to set it up is getting to its final wits and I cant take it anymore. So if you have time could you look at the equipment and tank and everything and let me know what is a good deal for something like this that doesn't screw either end of the party. Thanks in advance! The tank does have some scratches as it was used so keep that in mind as well.

Syncra 4.0 return pump
eshopps 120 skimmer

G3 XR30 Pro (with RMS)
G3 XR30 Blue (with RMS)

What does this mean? I'm not aware of any protective silicone just the silicone bonding the panels together. Did you cut the tank apart and reassemble it with new silicone or just put silicone on top of the existing silicone?

$1500-$1000. It is a complete set, but with any used equipment the chances of something breaking are much higher than out of the box. Also, you had to reseal the tank. Have you considered buffing out the scratches? It makes cleaning the glass much easier.

i razored out the like silicone exposed to the water and cleaned it with nail polisher removed then put a new bead down. Did not take apart the panels, as I am not that skilled and the tank didn't leak before, but I have heard it is good to re do the protective silicone whenever it isn't full of water just to be safe.

I did re-seal the tank, now it didn't leak before I should have included I just wanted to re-seal just to ensure the success of whoever buys it as the people I got it from were original owners and it had been up for 7yrs so better safe than sorry.

Also I did consider buffing them out but from what I have heard is its a real pain in the butt so I just left it be and would rather someone take money off from it than do it lol...

This is JMO but you did nothing but possibly compromise the original silicone doing that.

EDIT: you did not reseal the tank. The only silicone that matters is between the glass panels. The excess on the outside doesn't matter. Again this is JMO and I'm not a tank builder ;)

Gotcha, should I not add that then, do you feel it could detour a buyer?

I am also not a tank builder, but I would 100% not purchase and trust a tank where the existing silicone was cut out and reapplied. Might be fine......probably would be fine.....but I would pass :(

This is the silicone on one of my old tanks. It looks bad but the part that looks bad is the excess that doesn't really help seal the tank. Some tanks do not even have the excess but most mass produced ones I have seen do.

I'm not qualified to say if its good bad or neutral but it would cause me to pass because I would think you were trying to hide something or seal a leak. I bought a tank once that had that done to one seam and I didn't see it until I got the tank home and it didn't last. I had already bought some items from the person and had developed some trust. I guess I should have moved the towel they had laying on the tank lol.

Nail polish remover likely softened the silicone. If youre going to remove it, remove it all and alcohol wipe with lint free cloth and apply aquarium sealant

Wowowowowowow the bubble coral is one of the corals on my to find list with it always catching my fathers eye and I wanna find it for him. I wasn’t aware they have new heads how easy are they to frag? Is it similar to say a torch or hammer?

My understanding is they frag similar but I have no experience fragging them.
