what wrong with my scoly?

I have this scoly for a good year or more and has been doing great. I noticed it tonight with this bad section. I have no idea what might be going on with it. I fed it tonight and it ate just fine (thats what is coming out of its mouth). Any ideas? I hope it will recover, I really like this piece.

Hi! How often are you feeding it and how much? It may have ruptured itself from trying to digest/excrete too much food or poop so I would lessen feeding frequency and amount if its a lot :)

I might feed once or twice a week. I wouldn’t think that would be too much but maybe so. I hope it doesn’t get worst.

I usually give my full size scolys 3 mysis (or equivalent) every week or so
