Hey - I got my flame angel rehomed as I saw him eating a coral, also got rid of my aiptasia eating file fish (that I blamed but never saw eating coral) and thought things are good. Now a few weeks later, I had a frag of bam-bams DISAPPEAR off the plug over night.
What is eating them? I've got a Niger Trigger, Storm Clown, Naso, Blue Hippo, Orange Shoulder, and a Mandarin.

To that end, what cameras do people use to watch the tank and be able to do forensic work to find out who the culprit(s) is/are ?

You will get a slew of answers on cameras but I know some people like Wyze.

also check your CUC they could be a reason as well.

It also could be that trigger fish.

Yeah, tried my Wyze, but I've got V2, and I guess the flat glass mounts are only for V3 or 4. Glad to use Wyze, but wondered what people think.

That Trigger is on a short leash already. Destroyed a wrasse my wife got for me. I'd just like proof before rehoming him (already got a potential home waiting). Oh - and haven't seen my cleaner or blood red shrimps lately, and he's definitely suspect #1

Yeah, Had like 8 bam-bam yesterday, and today - that plug is just clean.

You don't have astrina stars by any chance ?
I ask because, I have them eating my stratosphere zoas which is not good .
I DO !! But haven't seen lately (maybe not getting to tank early enough to see them before lights are full). Would they decide to polish off a whole plug at once like that?

If that's the case, then again, we need to look at my trigger, because how do I get rid of the Asterina without harlequin that my trigger would look at as a nice snack

I dont know if you have one but my blue tuxedo urchin has pulled at least 10 zoa polyps in the time i had him and over a week removed all my rasta zoas from a frag, but i don’t know if they could do that overnight, even if they dont still have it they like to drop them around the tank

I am going to point fingers at the blue hippo. Mine is a zoa and meat coral eating machine. I no longer keep any of those corals in my main DT because of her. I actually watched her pick up a scoly with her mouth and then drop it. Sure enough when I inspected it closely it had small chunks that were missing!

I have wyze cams but prefer my eufy pan tilt cameras. To watch tanks I just set one up on a tripod. I had a Niger for over 6 years when it started taking chunks out of my fleshy lps. Mine never bother shrimp, snails or other fish.

No Tuxedo. I've ordered 2 v3 Wyze along with Glass mounts and 128GB cards. I think I will wait to actually see the culprit read-handed before getting rid of someone that might or might not be guilty.

Not sure if this will work, but ordered this too to see if it will clean the blue light: https://a.co/d/0IrwYXF
